Broad Function:
Responsible for transporting patients to and from the Radiology Department. Performs duties involving the operation of equipment necessary; assists on other non-technical departmental duties.
Major Responsibilities:
- Responsible for transport of patients to and from the department for their x-ray examinations.
- Assists physicians/others in locating x-rays and/or reports.
- Oversees basic office functions for defined periods as needed. Scheduling call reports.
- Assists in filing of reports and films.
- Answers the telephone and deals with all telephone requests as appropriate.
- Assists in non-technical duties in the department such as burn/import CD’s, and clerical duties as designated by the Director.
- Possess high ethical standards with respect to discretion and regard for confidentiality.
- Works with Director on specific projects and/or reports as assigned.
- Participates in inter-departmental, hospital and/or community programs as assigned.
- Utilizes the principles of Total Quality.
- Demonstrates age specific competencies as per department standards.
- Demonstrates clinical and technical competencies as per department standards.
- Moves and/or lifts patients using good body mechanics.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working in a health care setting preferable.
- Must possess excellent communication skills.
- Must be CPR certified.
Pay: $17.76 – $20.18 per hour
