Summary
We are seeking an Occupational Health NP/PA to join our Employee Health Office/HR team at Auburn Community Hospital. This role is vital in promoting health and safety in the workplace while providing high-quality nursing care to our employees. The Occupational Health NP/PA will play a key role in ensuring compliance with health regulations and enhancing employee well-being, while managing the day-to-day operations of the Employee Health Office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and screenings for employees.
- Develop and implement occupational health programs and policies.
- Manage New York State disability, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation paperwork for eligible employees.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and health standards.
- Provide education on injury prevention and wellness initiatives.
- Collaborate with management to address workplace health issues.
- Maintain accurate records of employee health data and interventions.
- Respond to workplace injuries and provide immediate care as needed.
Requirements
- Licensed NP/PA in NYS
- Experience preferred with a background in Occupational Health, Family Practice, or Emergency Care.
- Strong knowledge of infection control practices and occupational health regulations.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and management.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
