Medical Imaging Assistant

Located in the heart of the Finger lakes Region, Auburn Community Hospital is a rural 99-bed hospital serving a population of 80,000. Our growing Radiology department is in need of a Medical Imaging Assistant who will perform duties such as

-Maintaining current, accurate and orderly patient charts

-Adhering to strict MRI safety procedures

-Scheduling various tests and procedures with appropriate departments

-Prepare patients for imaging procedures and minor procedures

-Transport patients to imaging or other departments as needed

-Maintaining daily activity sheets and logs

-Other duties as required

Qualifications

Required

Patient Care experience

CPR Certification

Demonstrated computer skills

Preferred

Previous Imaging experience

Physical demands: heavy work: pushing, pulling, walking, standing and lifting. Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Ability to transport patients from charts, beds and wheelchairs. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. Ability to lift and position patients. Ability to transport mobile imaging equipment.
