Summary

The Ambulatory Systems Analyst is responsible to support successful onboarding, adoption and ongoing utilization of MEDENT within Auburn Memorial Medical Services (AMMS) system. This position is responsible for identifying opportunities for MEDENT to optimize and automate clinical and administrative processes at AMMS practices as well as training physicians and staff on the components of the service that meets their needs.

This role requires an understanding of medical practice operations, knowledge of health care technology, and strong communication, presentation and training skills. The Ambulatory Systems Analyst will support MEDENT applications, implementations, and the development of an ongoing support strategy. Ambulatory Systems Analysts must work collaboratively with all users of clinical information systems, with all departments of the Information Systems division, and all other departments and workgroups as necessary for the resolution of issues associated with clinical information systems.

Clinical information systems support may require participation in 24-hour on-call rotations.

 

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with MEDENT software application.
  • Maintaining cooperative working relationships with senior management, information technology peers, clinical and administrative staff users.
  • Delivering customer support to physicians, clinicians, administrators, and staff via direct interaction, phone, and/or email.
  • Assisting in the ongoing implementation, optimization and maintenance phases of various application projects.
  • Ensures support for clinical systems to nursing and other clinical departments by troubleshooting operational issues.
  • Assess need for clinical system reconfiguration based on user requests, making recommendations as appropriate
  • Disseminates information to end users on policies and procedures relevant to clinical systems. Recommends clinical procedural and policy changes as appropriate.
  • Facilitates testing and verification of clinical updates, patches, and new releases to clinical systems prior to activation.
  • Collaborates with staff development in planning the ongoing education and professional development of nursing staff to meet the challenges of clinical systems.
  • Provides initial and ongoing assessment of usability issues as it relates to hardware and software usage in clinical systems.
  • Takes direct ownership and responsibility for the quality and results of all assigned projects.
  • Work directly with the IT Manager and other IT team members to compile education curriculum that best supports AMMS and Quality Measures/Value Base Payment programs while ensure ongoing optimization is prioritized.
  • Demonstrates a supportive, understanding behavior when in contact with customers (visitors, employees, etc.)
  • Willingly identifies and reacts to situations/potential problems that require additional attention/clarification, referring to the appropriate area or person, to include job responsibilities, and changes in work or polices/procedures.
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and conducting end-user training as new employees are hired and on a regular basis, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by the IT Manager or members of AMMS Leadership.
  • Tracking and reporting to management on progress toward established adoption and utilization goals.

 

Requirements

  • Expert in Medent system usage
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • High degree of professionalism and confidentiality required.
  • Considerable knowledge of IT practices, technology, techniques, and terminology.
  • Considerable knowledge of Ambulatory Patient Care settings
  • Individual must be detail oriented, organized, and able to adapt to a rapidly growing organization.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $47,000.00 per year
