Biography
Migdalia Zoe Bonilla-Martir, MD, FACOG, is an accomplished obstetrician-gynecologist with extensive clinical, academic, and research experience spanning more than two decades.
Dr. Bonilla-Martir has held multiple clinical appointments across New York and New Jersey, including Women’s Care OB GYN of NY, BronxCare Hospital, Manhattan OB-GYN practices, Bronx Lebanon Hospital, Ocean Health Initiatives, and Hackettstown Regional Medical Center. Her roles have included attending physician, teaching faculty, and trusted provider within both hospital-based and community health settings.
A diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Bonilla-Martir completed residency training at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, along with additional early training at Rochester General Hospital and the University of Puerto Rico. She maintains active medical licenses in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut.
Dr. Bonilla-Martir’s background includes significant research contributions in obstetrics, gynecology, maternal health, biochemistry, and molecular serology. Highlights of her research involvement include investigations into adnexal masses in pregnancy, maternal anemia, HIV virology and transmission, and ion channel regulation, with multiple presentations at national and international scientific conferences.
She remains committed to ongoing professional development, regularly completing advanced training in minimally invasive gynecology, surgical techniques such as Da Vinci robotics and hysteroscopy, and annual OB-GYN clinical updates through Harvard Medical School and ACOG.
Fluent in English and Spanish with basic proficiency in Hebrew, Dr. Bonilla-Martir values cultural learning, travel, reading, and music. She is deeply dedicated to patient-centered care and to empowering women through all stages of their reproductive health.
