Tanya Paul, MD, FACOG
Dr. Paul, originally from Queens, NY, has resided in the Upstate New York area for over 15 years. She graduated from University of Virginia School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. She is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Paul has 20 years of experience specializing in comprehensive health care in women of all ages.
As a general obstetrician and gynecologist, her goal is to provide quality and compassionate care as well as empower women to take an active role in their healthcare. She is especially interested in Adolescent Gynecology, Obstetrics, Menopause, and minimally invasive surgery.

Mark Martens, MD, Chair of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
Dr. Mark Martens is the Chair of the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
He received this MD from George Washington University School of Medicine and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Hartford Hospital in Connecticut followed by a fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology infectious diseases at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. He has an extensive background in both teaching and research related to obstetrics and gynecology and infectious diseases.
Most recently he served as Program Director and founder of the OB/GYN Residency Program at Mohawk Valley Health System in Utica, New York as well as being their Medical Director for Academics and the Director of Clinical Research Before coming to upstate New York, he was Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and gynecology at Drexel University College of Medicine and interim Dean at the new Drexel University College of Medicine in Reading, Pennsylvania He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Academic Officer at seven hospital system, Tower Health in Pennsylvania.
He was founding Chairman and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, Residency Program Director and Chairman at Jersey shore University Medical Center and Clinical Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rutgers University School of Medicine in New Jersey.
Prior to coming back to the East Coast, Dr. Martens was Chief Medical Officer at the Heartland Health Research Institute and Medical Director of Planned Parenthood for Arkansas in Eastern Oklahoma. His early academic career included faculty and leadership positions at Baylor College of Medicine, the University Texas, the University of Minnesota and the University of Oklahoma , where he achieved Full Tenured Professor status.
He has been active in teaching and research in both women’s health and infectious diseases and has over 160 peer-reviewed publications and clinical monographs, five United States patents related to spontaneous abortion, endometriosis, and remote pregnancy monitoring, more than 20 book chapters, and has given over 250 presentations at national at international conferences. He has served as President of the International infectious Disease Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been the principal investigator for over 200 clinical research trials and currently serves as a consultant or member at the FDA CDC and NIH, as well as numerous professional societies and state-wide health committees.

Amy MacDonald, MD
Dr. MacDonald grew up in Skaneateles, New York. She comes to Auburn after practicing in Rochester at ParkWest Women’s Health. Her special interests are in obstetrics, contraception, family planning and minimally invasive surgery. Dr. MacDonald is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Rochester Medical School. She was awarded the Bronze Star Honor in 2014 by the faculty of the University of Rochester Medical Center in recognition of her dedication to the mission, vision, and values of URMC. She was additionally awarded the Resident Teaching Award in 2015 for excellence in teaching at URMC.

Devon Amedio attended University of Rochester for her undergraduate degree, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, after completing his undergraduate studies he returned to complete her master’s of Midwifery at Stony Brook University. Before working at Auburn Community Hospital, she worked at Oswego Hospital.
