Biography

Dr. Finneran brings nearly a decade of experience caring for women in Western New York. Originally from New York City, he earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College and completed his Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Following residency, Dr. Finneran joined a private OB/GYN practice in Western New York, where he developed a strong connection to the Finger Lakes region and the patients he serves. He currently practices with the OB Hospitalist Group, providing comprehensive OB/GYN care at Auburn Community Hospital.

Dr. Finneran’s clinical interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, including laparoscopic and vaginal procedures, management of pelvic organ prolapse, and healthcare quality improvement. He values the opportunity to care for patients throughout all stages of life and appreciates the close-knit community that makes the Finger Lakes region unique.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Finneran enjoys spending time with his daughter and his Irish Wolfhound. He is an avid traveler with a goal of visiting all 50 states before his 50th birthday. A lifelong fan of the New York Mets, he and his daughter make it a point to attend at least one game each season and enjoy supporting local minor league baseball throughout the region.
