New Outpatient Physical And Occupational Therapy Location

Auburn Community Hospital held an official ribbon-cutting for its expanded outpatient Physical and Occupational therapy space on Wednesday, October 29th. The new location, at 8 Logan Street on the bottom level of the Beardsley Building, allows considerably more space, equipment and greater access to services for our community.

The new space encompasses 5100 square feet, nearly double the size of the former space that was located inside the walls of Auburn Community Hospital. It also allows for expansion of the outpatient Physical and Occupational Therapy staff, led by Director of Rehabilitation Services Ryan Donahoe.

In remarks at the event, Donahoe noted the importance of providing accessible, high-quality care to those suffering from an injury, recovering from surgery, or navigating the challenges of illness or disease that affect mobility and daily activities of life.

“The partnership between our providers and Outpatient Rehabilitation is an especially important one. It allows patients a seamless transition from acute injury or surgery to recovery, with a continuity of care throughout. This growth also expands the Auburn Community Hospital footprint within the City of Auburn, shifts services and access off-site

for those who aren’t acutely ill, and increase the number of staff in outpatient rehabilitation.

We’ve already been able to treat 30% more patients than in the previous space and look forward to doubling the number of people served. This is a win for our community and our patients and allows us to get even more people healed safely while preventing further injuries.”
