National Lung Cancer Screening Day

Join Auburn Community Hospital for National Lung Cancer Screening Day, a community event focused on early detection and prevention. Eligible patients can receive a low-dose CT lung screening and speak with our team from CT Technologists, our Lung Cancer Nurse Navigator, and a Certified Smoking Cessation Provider.

Patient Pre-Authorization Required

Patients must have a provider’s order and pre-authorization to participate in this screening event.

What to Expect on Screening Day

  1. Check-In: Arrive at Central Registration for initial check-in.
  2. Wayfinding: Staff in the lobby will direct you to Elevator E for the Lower Level Radiology Waiting Room.
  3. Radiology Check-In & Form Review: Check in at Lower Level Radiology. A Lung Cancer Nurse Navigator will escort you to the CT Suite and review your screening form.
  4. CT Scan: Your low-dose CT will be performed in the CT Suite.
  5. Smoking Cessation Support: After your scan, visit the Smoking Cessation Table near Elevator E for resources from a Certified Smoking Cessation Provider.
