Biography

Dr. Ghaly worked as a general practitioner in Egypt until he immigrated to the US in 1977, where he completed his psychiatric residency at SUNY Upstate in Syracuse, NY. In 1984 he became a licensed acupuncturist and opened the Acupuncture Center of Upstate New York. Dr. Ghaly is an expert in treating a multitude of psychiatric disorders, and has established several treatment centers including the Ghaly Healing & Wellness Center, Ghaly Sleep Center, and the Ghaly TMS Center. In addition, he also offers a number of alternative treatment programs, which include medical marijuana, laser light therapy, transcranial magnetic stimulation, electroconvulsive therapy, and ketamine therapy. He not only has the wide-ranging experience to provide his patients with state of the art care, but has also become well known for his compassion towards his patients and treating them with the utmost dignity. Dr. Ghaly is fluent in French, English, and Arabic.
