Biography
Dr. Ben Wandtke serves as Chief of Diagnostic Imaging at FF Thompson Hospital where he practices as a general radiologist. His funded research focuses on health system quality improvement, most notably the development of the Backstop radiology recommendation tracking system that assures patients with incidental findings receive appropriate follow-up care, eliminating delays in diagnosis of cancer. Dr. Wandtke is active in radiology and health system leadership, currently serving as the President of the Medical Staff of FF Thompson Hospital and the Vice President of the Rochester Roentgen Ray Society. He serves on the Board of the FF Thompson Health System and chairs the FF Thompson Population Health Committee. He is an Associate Professor of Imaging Sciences at the University of Rochester Medical Center.
