Sleep Center Services

The Sleep Center at Auburn Community Hospital is an American Association of Sleep Medicine (AASM) accredited facility designed to diagnose sleep disorders for our patients. More than 100 million Americans of all ages fail to get a good night’s sleep. This leads to a lower quality of life and reduced personal health. At least 80 disorders can endanger public safety and be life-threatening.

Our newly renovated Sleep Center provides a comfortable and inviting experience for patients having to undergo overnight stays for testing when sleep disorders are suspected.

Our Team

Auburn Community Hospital’s Sleep Center is directed by Dr. Rajesh Rao, who is Board Certified in Pulmonary Medicine, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.

Together the team focuses on administering sleep disorder tests in a comforting manner that helps to induce a natural sleep state environment. Once the tests are administered, the data collected is reviewed and shared with the patient in a post-test interview. The data is used to make a diagnosis and prepare a report which is then shared with the patient’s referring provider. Depending on the findings, a recommendation will be made to help correct a specific condition.
