Auburn Community Hospital has partnered with the Upstate Cancer Center to provide the region’s most comprehensive and advanced diagnostic and treatment resources for cancer care. Our new, state-of-the art Cancer Center located on the first floor of the hospital will offer the most advanced outpatient treatment and support services in a convenient setting.

OUR SERVICES
We provide highly personalized and comprehensive care leveraging the knowledge and technology found at Upstate, the region’s only academic medical center. Our skilled nursing staff with special training in administering chemotherapy, infusion regimens and other cancer treatments will expertly implement designated treatment plans. We also provide on-site phlebotomy and pharmacy services ensuring expedient lab results and drug delivery.
The Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology services located at Auburn Community Hospital will work seamlessly with the Upstate Cancer Center’s main location in Syracuse, providing priority access for any needed procedures or consultations that are not available in Auburn. Every patient treated at the Upstate Cancer Center at Auburn Community Hospital will have the same multidisciplinary case review as those treated at the Upstate Cancer Center in Syracuse.

EXPERIENCE THE UPSTATE CANCER CENTER DIFFERENCE
- Ranked in the top twenty percent of cancer care programs nationwide by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACOS CoC), it is the only program accredited by this organization in Central New York. It is also among the one percent of ACOS CoC accredited cancer programs nationally to have earned the Outstanding Achievement Award for four consecutive survey cycles.
- The Department of Radiation Oncology at Upstate Cancer Center has been accredited by the American College of Radiology (ACR) demonstrating an indication of high quality among the Radiation Oncology community.
- The Bone Marrow Transplant Program at Upstate University Hospital has been accredited by the Foundation for the Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT) for the past 10 years. More than 800 bone marrow transplants have been performed for conditions such as non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, multiple myeloma, leukemia and select solid tumors. The program performs both autologous and matched related allogeneic transplants.
