He previously served as head of the surgical department and on the Board of Trustees at Auburn Community Hospital. Dr. Weiss believes in patient centered care with a multidisciplinary approach. Having performed thousands of bariatric and general surgeries, he appreciates the life-changing effect surgical procedures can have on patients themselves and their families. Communication is always a priority in his patient care. Dr. Weiss believes that if the patient and his/her family have a good understanding of the surgical plan and are comfortable with it, the likelihood for a good outcome is very high.
