Will be responsible for operation of hospital and equipment to assist other maintenance personnel as requested.
Uses hand-tools and operates power-tools in the performance of assigned work maintenance or repair of buildings, equipment, and grounds. |
Performs light carpentry work regarding building maintenance or small construction work. |
Maintain walks, driveways and parking lots free of snow by using snow blower and shovel. |
Performs lifting and carrying assignments such as, 80 pound bags, maintenance supplies, equipment and furniture. |
Deliver and pick up materials, supplies, mail, and other parcels on a regularly schedules basis; perform special errands as required. |
Perform and / or provide for preventive maintenance to truck and equipment; oil, lubrication, etc.; maintain current vehicle NYS registration. Responsible for minor repairs on equipment. |
May supervise summer help. |
Performs helper/assistant duties under the direction of Lead Engineer(s) or Engineer(s) II. Arranges tools, assists with tasks such as, but not limited to, light maintenance duties and light bulb replacements. |
Attend in-service programs as required. |
Respond to fire calls / drills; implement established procedures to ensure the safety of staff and patients. |
Maintain awareness of and comply with applicable governmental rules, regulations and codes. |
Perform other and related duties, as assigned. |
Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma and a NYS driver’s license and six (6) months experience in operating a truck and equipment. One (1) year of demonstrated maintenance experience, including repairs, preferably in an acute care setting.
