Responsible for providing food and nutrition for the resident population at the Finger Lakes Center for Living. Ensures a positive “dining room” experience is provided to the residents. Demonstrates effective communication skills.

| Responsible for setting up and serving hot and cold food item; presentation and preparation of resident dining room; maintaining all sanitation policies a procedure for work areas and service. |
| Must be in the proper uniform at all times. |
| Set up and maintain own area for meal service, including but not limited to, setting tables with placemats, silverware, proper beverages, salads, desserts and condiments for the tables. |
| Service of hot foods from kitchenette, per menu for delivery by nursing staff on trays and in dining room. |
| Bus tables on own floors after meal periods and clean tabletops, table edges, condiment holders and chairs thoroughly. |
| Maintain sanitation of all equipment related to food service. |
| Serve and assist with cleanup of special functions and assist Activity Department as needed. |
| Set-up nourishment cart for morning and afternoon nourishments for distribution by nursing. |
| Maintain supplies as needed. Attend all in-service training classes when conducted on all subjects relating to work codes. |
| Demonstrates familiarity with established policies and procedures, task lists, and guidelines. |
| Cover, label and date cold items and store appropriately; keep food at proper temperatures at all times. |
| Maintain and record supplies as needed on a daily basis. |
| Maintain confidentiality of residents’ conditions and any information contained within the dietary cardex. |
| Demonstrates knowledge of principle of growth and development over the lifespan. |
| Attend in-services, education programs and other meetings as scheduled. |
| Demonstrates the knowledge and skill necessary to provide care appropriate to the residents’ age at the FLCL. |
| Demonstrates knowledge of principle of growth and development over the lifespan. |
| Perform other duties as assigned.
