Auburn Community Hospital (ACH) is searching for talented nurses to join our CICU team. CICU RNs appropriately assess and manage surgical patients before, during, and after procedures. RNs provide cardiac monitoring as well as assess and reassess pain, using appropriate pain management techniques. RNs will educate patients and families as appropriate, maintain technical skills with the equipment utilized in the critical care units, i.e. cardiac monitors, respirators, hemodynamic monitors; identify normal and abnormal cardio electrical activity of the heart for any ICU, CCU, or telemetry patients and monitors AKG testing. CICU RNs demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate intervention after proper identification of the cardiac rhythm, appropriate conscious sedation care, and administer medication according to ACH policy.
Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current NYS nursing license and maintain current CPR status every two (2) years. ACLS Certification must be obtained within six (6) months. Previous acute care experience desirable
