To actively recruit and retain clinical candidates and develop relationships with nurses and mid-levels by successfully placing qualified candidates in open positions.
Recruit, research, interview, qualify and refer nurse candidates for openings within the healthcare system.
Develop and maintain network of contacts to help identify and source qualified RN, LPN, NP and PA candidates. Recruit and hire registered nurses , LPNs PAs and NPs through various sources, including job databases, internet, job boards, referrals, nursing schools, research, social media networking, direct mail and job fairs to develop a strong candidate pipeline. Coordinate the internal job bid system; research employee qualifications data, interview employees and refer as appropriate; coordinate employee transfers.
Interview applicants for employment, assess candidates, check references and refer qualified candidates to department heads. Review applications and evaluate potential candidates for acceptance against the quality standards for the role. Maintain a retention rate of 80% or higher. Suggest programs to enhance retention. Design and place recruiting advertisements ensuring accuracy, timeliness and cost-effectiveness. Monitor results of advertising and advise which publications to utilize for best results.
3 years of experience in a health care setting with a LPN or RN license, or a Bachelor’s degree and 5 to 8 years experience in human resources in a high volume recruitment role in a healthcare environment.Back to Article List
