Little Hats, Big Hearts

Posted on: 02/23/2017

ACH participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) Little Hats, Big Hearts program, to raise awareness about heart disease and stroke by making hats for babies born in the month of February. Volunteers from various organizations graciously knitted 139 beautiful little red hats, which were donated to ACH. Forty of the hats were set aside for babies born in February here, with the remainder given to the AHA for redistribution to other local hospitals. According to Amber Sitterly, Director of Nursing, as of February 14th, fourteen hats had been given to newborns at ACH.
