Eric R. Allyn was recently elected Vice-Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Healthcare Trustees of New York State (HTNYS). Mr. Allyn also participates on the Board of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) as a HTNYS representative.

HTNYS, an affiliate of HANYS, is comprised of healthcare trustees across New York State. The HTNYS Board is composed of 25 Trustees, all of whom are volunteers, who represent different types of hospitals, continuing care organizations, and health systems from all regions across the state. Board Members have responsibility for providing guidance and oversight for the activities and programs of HTNYS that aim to strengthen the healthcare system of New York State through improved leadership and increased involvement by healthcare trustees. Additionally, HTNYS supports hospital and health system trustees through education, communication, and advocacy efforts that promote the delivery of quality healthcare to all communities in a cost effective manner.

Allyn has been a member of the Board of Trustees of Auburn Community Hospital since 2007.He was Chairman from 2008 - 2014. In acknowledging this significant recognition of the leadership qualities of Mr. Allyn, Scott A. Berlucchi, ACH President and CEO noted:” We are honored to have one of our own Board members assume this key healthcare leadership position for the hospitals and healthcare systems of the state of New York.
