Posted on: 12/01/2016
The American College of Radiology recently announced that Auburn Community Hospital’s state-of-the-art MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging System ) has been granted accreditation. Dr. David Waldman, chairman of the University of Rochester (URMC) Imaging Department, noted that “ Most community hospitals use a smaller 1.5 Tesla magnet with their MRI systems. With ACH’s 3-Tesla model, the images that radiologists get are of superior quality.” Having partnered with the URMC Imaging Department, acquiring the best MRI system available , and now having received national accreditation by the American College of Radiology, we are now able to provide our patients and physicians, “the very, very best our region has to offer,” noted Scott Berlucchi. ACH President and CEO.
