Reclast Annual Infusions for Osteoporosis Now Offered at AMH

A new service for patients with osteoporosis in now available at Auburn Memorial Hospital. Reclast, a biphosphonate which can be infused intravenously once a year in as little as 15 minutes, is now offered by the Hospital with a physician’s prescription.

This treatment is beneficial for patients who cannot tolerate biphosphonate by mouth. In some people, it causes gastrointestinal irritation. Reclast infusions are FDA approved. Interested individuals should ask their physician to call the AMH Pharmacy at 255-7296 to arrange an appointment.
