Executive Committee

Karen Jeffreys , Vice President of Long Term Care Services

Karen Jeffreys brings nearly 40 years of health care experience to the Executive Committee of AMH.  As the Vice President of Long Term Care Services, she is the Administrator of Finger Lakes Center for Living – an 80-bed skilled nursing facility adjacent to AMH.

Jeffreys is an expert in nursing home administration, nursing department operations, strategic planning, budget management, quality assurance analysis and health code compliance.  She has a demonstrated and distinguished record of accomplishments in both proprietary and not-for-profit sectors of long-term care.

As a facility administrator, Jeffreys excels as a manager and leader.  She restructured the facility leadership team into a streamlined and less complicated management group, reorganized the Quality Assurance Team in order to improve performance and quality of life for residents and staff, initiated “stand up” meetings with staff to encourage experience-based training, and continues to ensure the facility operates in compliance with current regulations and practice standards.

Jeffreys is a licensed nursing home administrator and has a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Management from Empire College and is an RN with an Associates Degree in Nursing from Fairleigh-Dickinson University in New Jersey.  She is involved in her community by being a facilitator for the Alzheimer’s Association; a trustee of the United Church of Christ in Bayberry; a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and a board member for ICPM @ Syracuse University.
